The Explore Chemistry curriculum teaches students about the states of matter, physical and chemical properties, chemical reactions, and real-world examples of chemistry in everyday life. The curriculum is aligned to standards for students in grades 9-12.  

Includes: 

• Student Books with 12 chapters of content, each split into 5 big ideas. The Student Books also includes a challenge chapter on the Periodic Table of Elements. Each chapter is split into 5 big ideas with an original video, demonstrating tough concepts in a simplified way.  
• A Discovery page in each chapter allows students to relate abstract chemistry concepts to everyday life. Each chapter ends with a 10-question quiz.  
• Student Workbooks (presented as a 2-book set) are included to coincide with the lesson content.  

The accompanying Instructor's Guide incorporates scripted lesson plans for all 60 big ideas. The Examine It! section in each big idea makes use of the provided molecule models, allowing students to understand difficult concepts through hands-on learning. Extension Activities at the end of each lesson permit students to delve deeper into specific topics.  

A UDL chart is incorporated into each big idea lesson, using evidence-based practices with scripted lesson plans. Each lesson also offers language builders, in order to relate the content to other learning goals for English learners and students with disabilities.  

Term tests are available in two levels for all six units.  

The associated Courseware content allows for students to enrich their learning through online courses and activities, including reading passages, videos, quizzes, and editable worksheets.  

An alternate level is available for students who need minimal supports. Courseware offers a built-in reward structure to reinforce student learning and allows instructors to track student progress instantly.
